To ensure the integrity of data critical to your operations or marketing campaigns, Axion utilizes tools to assess the accuracy of data entry and data capture, as well as the validity of key values.
In many cases, depending on the nature and use of the data being captured, and to avoid potential liability arising from errors, many organizations require Axion to verify the accuracy of information being captured by AI or OCR data extraction or by traditional data entry. Axion performs three types of data verification:
Data Entry Verification – Axion’s accuracy for single-key (unverified) data entry ranges from 96.5% to 98%, depending on the type of data. If greater accuracy is desired, we perform re-key verification of entire documents or selected fields to achieve 99.9% accuracy at the keystroke level. This process entails having two independent operators key the data, with discrepancies identified by our system resolved by a supervisor.
Image Verification – When automated data capture is performed using AI or OCR, Axion operators verify its accuracy by comparing the captured data to the scanned image. This is commonly referred to as “human-in-the-loop” verification. Depending on client requirements, our operators will verify all fields, selected fields, or only those fields where system-determined accuracy falls below the client’s required confidence level.
External Verification – This refers to the process of comparing captured data with external sources on the Internet, such as courthouse websites, manufacturers’ equipment or parts databases, price lists, and other sources.
Whereas data verification checks for data capture accuracy, data validation answers the question of whether the data is valid. Axion uses several tools to determine the validity of several critical values.
Email Addresses – If your marketing or customer communications are done primarily by email, this his a critical value to validate. The tool we use actually pings the email address, which returns a value of valid, invalid, or unknown (This email appears to be OK, but the domain and/or server are not responding to requests).
USPS Mailing Addresses – If you communicate primarily by USPS, you want toensure the mailing addresses are valid. In addition to validating the address, the tool we use also appends the Zip+4.
